Memories don’t have to fade with time. I offer wedding & event photography, and family portraiture in unique locations that are meaningful to you, together with fine art prints, canvas prints, canvas clusters, custom-designed storybook albums, books, cards, and other unique products from the photo session. Capture the moment with photography that will last a lifetime and fine art to be cherished for generations.
People tell me that I have a gift for photographing people and for capturing emotions. For more than ten years, I worked in the world of humanitarian assistance and international development for non-profits in Africa and Asia. I only began to work professionally as a photographer in 2007, but since then, my photography has been recognized and/or published by Photo District News, Shutterbug Magazine, EOS Magazine, Traveller Magazine, the Global Health Council, Population Services International, Gorta, the Society for Family Health, the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, the Save Darfur Coalition, Oxford University Press, the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, and the Photographic Society of America, and many others. Since my first exhibit of a single photograph in the fall of 2007, I have been juried into or invited to exhibit in numerous fine art exhibits at Parish Gallery Georgetown, the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s Art Anonymous, Gallery Serengeti, Barry Gallery, the Metropolitan Center of the Visual Arts (VisArts), the Center for Fine Art Photography in Colorado, the Gaithersburg Arts Barn, and Embracing Our Differences® in Florida, as well as my first solo show in mid-2009 at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center. Named a “Selected Artist” in the 2008 Chelsea International Fine Art Competition sponsored by Agora Gallery New York, I also received a $3,500 Creative Projects Grant from the Montgomery County Arts & Humanities Council for travel photography.
Awards and accolades aside, there are many special qualities that separate me from other photographers. First and foremost is that I create beautiful works of art – family heirlooms – memories that make your heart stop everytime you look at them. People tell me that I have a gift for capturing emotions. In fact, I am a storyteller, and I excel at fusing fine art with photojournalism to tell your story without interfering with the flow of your day. And my clients love my photography because I make them look their very best. All of this takes passion. While photography is my full-time endeavor, it’s not a job to me. I make photographic experiences enjoyable because I put heart and soul into every single photograph I create, and I guarantee that no other photographer will care about your photographs the way that I do. So if you can only remember three words about me, then remember these:
quality, artistry & caring
And if these three words are as important to you as they are to me, then let’s chat about how I can help you.
