Gosh, those heights fears are not easily conquered even with climbing classes. I strongly recommend seeking a Moab based guide service to steer you to equally photogenic landscapes, that would avoid the dilemma you endured. In my eyes, you remain a champion. Sorry the shot you imagined was missed. Visit again for another chance, albeit, elsewhere than a place to test your anxiety.

The perfect snow shot with red rock outcrop is quite fascinating to me. However, the snow scenery at Snowy Moubtains in Australia is companied with gum trees, Kangaroos and grey rock outcrop.

I LOVE the skies in your HDR Wash Natl Cathedral shots! GORGEOUS! Plus, the food portfolio on your website is terrific. Great work! The food looks absolutely delicious, which is the goal right?!

I just got back from 12 days touring the parks of Southern Utah. I’m doing a photo-a-day blog post, though I kind of got behind b/c it’s a lot of work to shoot all day then come home, sort and process! Still have to do days 9-12. But half of what I’ve posted so far are HDR. Check these two out:

Hi again Tom! Yes, I LOVE HDR landscapes! I did a blog post not long ago about HDR, and I posted several sample HDR landscapes. On this Utah trip, so far, my Day 8 (Zion National Park), Day 7 (Zion National Park), Day 6 (Zion National Park), and Day 4 photos (Bryce Canyon) are HDR. I guess that makes half my photo-a-days so far HDR. I guess you like HDR?

Hi Tom! I shot this photo after the sun had already disappeared - it was pretty dark out, but there was still a little light left. Sunset here is around 5:10 pm; I shot this at 6:25 PM according to my camera metadata. All the rock around here is orange and glows at the end of the day. But the rock in Zion has been most amazing in terms of glow. Check it out! There, it was like a volcano! I hope I can make a hiking photography meetup soon too. I won't be back yet for tomorrow's meetup, and on January 23rd, I'm teaching a photography workshop at VisArts on Art of Architecture: Photographing the Washington National Cathedral. But I've RSVPed for the February 6th trip! By the way, this hiking photography meetup group is a great idea, so thank you for organizing!!!
