I’ve been in New Orleans for the past few days, here until Tuesday. Haven’t had much time to go through my photos, but I’ve been doing a quick edit this evening. This image of Troy Turner – Ike & Tina Turner’s nephew – at the Blues Club on New Orleans’ famed Bourbon Street is one of my favorites from my first night of shooting. I love the blue light on his face, that turns to orange and yellow as you move downwards, but the black & white version sure is soulful too… By the way, Troy has just released a new album, called Whole Lotta Blues. Although it’s his fourth album, it’s his first release in 10 years, after getting out of rehab and cleaning up the past few years.
