Where to Pop the Question AND Bamboo Mounts for Luster and Metallic Prints

For the guys out there: are you looking for the perfect place to pop the question to your one and only?  The Washingtonian has put together a nice list of potential places for your monumental occasion.   Check it out here. I’d love to do a photo shoot where I document your proposal, so if any of you guys out there are interested, let me know!   How romantic!  By the way, one of the places on the list is the Washington National Cathedral’s Bishops Garden.  I did a summer portrait shoot there.  Check out the photos.  The Meadowlark Botanical Gardens is also on their list.  That’s another beautiful setting – rolling hills and a beautiful lake.  The header image on this blog is from Meadowlark Botanical Gardens.

Anyway, I also wanted to show you today some new photos of bamboo mounts for luster and metallic prints.  If you didn’t read my previous post about bamboo panel mounting, let me tell you that it’s very elegant and sophisticated.  The panel has attractive linear colorations of the bamboo, and since it’s about 3/4 inch thick, it’s thick enough to sit vertically on a bookshelf or mantel, as an alternative to being hung.  An acid-free adhesive holds the photograph to the panel while also forming a barrier protecting the image from acidic elements found in all wood.  I’m offering bamboo panel mounting for both portrait, wedding, and event photography in addition to my fine art photography.
