Animated photo-videos... A new offering...

So I’m having a really fun time learning how to use WordPress. The book, “WordPress for Dummies” is essential! Today, I read about how to add video to my blog, so I thought I’d practice by posting some samples of a new product that I started offering recently -- animated photo-videos created from photographs of your family or event. Honoring the Beaux of the 14th Annual Beautillion

So here’s the story behind this video. A few months ago, I got a call from a very nice gentleman named Mark. He was looking for a photographer to shoot a “beautillion.” I had no idea what a beautillion was. He kept talking about the beaux this the beaux that. Anyway, I finally figured out that it’s the equivalent of a catillion, but for the guys! Well, let me tell you, it was an AMAZING event! Really beautiful! These 10 high school students were receiving scholarships from Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. They had just gone through the 14th annual Henry Arthur Callis Beautillion Academy to learn how to be a gentleman, grooming, how to treat a lady, personal finances, sex education… And the beautillion was the culmination of the program!

It was held in a big ballroom at Martin’s Crossroads in Greenbelt, Maryland. There were a few hundred guests, all seated around a square dance area in the middle. So first, each beau came in and was individually introduced to the guests, as he went to each side of the square and took a bow. Then, they went back out and came back in with their mothers and escorts (the girls), and then they proceeded to get down on one knee and offer a rose to their mother! Girls went out, and the beaux and their moms performed a beautifully choreographed waltz! It was incredible! Mothers went out, and the girls come back in to salsa with the beaux. The dancing was amazing, my favorite part of the event! Anyway, I was just blown away, it was so beautiful. If any of you need a photographer for another beautillion or catillion, please think of me!
