You know, I’ve been thinking a lot recently. Thinking about memories. Because I’ve come to realize over my years as a photographer that the photographs I create aren’t simply “pictures.” Rather, they’re memories. Priceless memories. Last month, I designed and printed a storybook album for the Willards from their family reunion in Annapolis, Maryland. [...] Yesterday, I got up bright and early and made my way over to the G’s for their Christmas family portrait session. Just 1 1/2 months ago, I had photographed Lisa’s Big Birthday Bash at the Lorien Hotel & Spa in Alexandria, Virginia, and I was absolutely delighted to finally meet Ed and Lisa’s children [...] Proud parents Kristen and Dan welcomed their second son, Ezra King, into the world two weeks ago. After doing Kristen’s maternity photography last month, I had the honor of meeting Ezra when he was just 12 days old for his very first photography shoot! Isn’t he absolutely adorable???!!! [...] Here’s a second batch of favorites from Leigh & Garrett’s engagement photography session last week. Also, check out the engagement storybook album that I designed for them! When Leigh saw the album, she said, “OH MY GOSH!! The photos are BEAUTIFUL!! You are so talented! Garrett and I are sitting here non stop talking [...] About 1 1/2 years ago, a girl named Leigh and a boy named Garrett meet on Match.com. After several chats and correspondances, they decide to meet. …Until Garrett goes MIA on Leigh for a week. Leigh thinks Garrett has moved on and is no longer interested, so she sends him a nice-to-meet-you-good-luck-on-your-life’s-journey e-mail. [...] The fountains of the National World War II Memorial in Washington, DC are encircled by large granite pillars engraved with the names of the states. I’ve been so busy with portraits and weddings this summer, then I’ve only just gotten around to processing the photos I shot at my DC Memorials at Night [...] After the hours of getting ready that wedding morning last Saturday, July 17th… after the ceremony, where I watched Issy’s mom wipe tears from her eyes… after the formal portraits of the newlyweds and family… and after the wedding brunch… it was time for… the wedding JOYRIDE!!! Issy’s mom and dad drove me in [...] Wedding portraits at a park in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. So if you thought I’d fallen off the blog wagon over the past week, it’s just because I’ve been hard at work on Emily & Jason’s wedding photographs and storybook album!
