The Baltimore Build, Remodel and Landscape Expo is coming up fast [...] The day after our big October snowstorm, I met up with Tonya & Shay at the beautiful Meridian Hill Park in Washington DC for a couple’s portrait photography session. Despite the winter chill, and despite Shay’s jetlag from returning from an international trip just the night before, these two lovebirds were bright and cheery. [...]
The Z’s live in Old Town Alexandria, so what better venue for a photographic stroll than the place they call home? As we meandered down Queen Street over to Strand and the waterfront, little 5-year-old Jack ran, jumped, smiled, hugged, laughed, and loved his way along our 10-block walk. Pausing [...] I recently joined proud parents Liz & John and 7-month old baby Brett for this precious one’s very first portrait photography session at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland, just outside Washington DC. Brett was his adorable self, and who could help falling for him and those big blue eyes? Certainly not mom & dad, [...] I recently had the great pleasure of attending (and photographing!) Kathleen’s Cupcake Birthday Party in Silver Spring, Maryland. The birthday girl turned two this year and entertained her four friends with multi-colored cupcakes, Roman wreaths, and a slide with a flower-lined runway, courtesy of Kathleen’s mom’s creative vision. Although we didn’t quite manage to [...] A few weeks ago (or has it been a month now?), my husband, Idrissa, and I spent the day in Washington, D.C. Here are a few photographs of the two of us in front of the U.S. Capitol. A few hours around the Mall area and memorials always makes for great wedding party photographs [...] Just 2 1/2 weeks ago, I drove up to Annapolis the Willard family’s annual reunion. With 7 individual families and 36 people across FOUR generations (!), the Willards are a pretty amazing and wonderful family! In fact, I must admit that I was secretly envious of how many people they have to call family… [...] Why oh why do my very favorite TV shows always end after just one or two seasons? First, it was Dark Angel, then I discovered Eli Lilly, and then…Heroes was so good, how could they possibly have ended it after only one season??? And now! I started watching John Doe, and that last episode [...]
