Virgin River, snow-covered mountains in the background, Zion National Park, Utah With yesterday’s AWESOME fiery Zion sunset, we were totally motivated to get up early this morning, hopeful for an incredible sunrise. Alas, it was not to be. It was already snowing when the alarm sounded at 6 AM. We still rushed to [...] This has got to be my best photography day yet on this trip. Remember I said a few days ago that I couldn’t imagine Zion being more spectacular than Bryce? Well, today was absolutely incredible. We went up the Weeping Rock trail, which was pretty icy. At one point there was an ice landslide [...] Boy, we were seriously exhausted at the end of the day. That’s why I’m getting this post up a day late. Plus, it’s a lot of work to be out shooting all day and then come back and process photos at night! Anyway, we got up for the sunrise…and it was BITTER cold. Went [...] Photo of the viewfrom Sunset Point, Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah Today, we visited Inspiration Point, Bryce Point, and Sunset Point. In the afternoon, we hiked the 2.2 mile, 1.5 hour Navajo loop from Sunset Point down into the canyon. The snow is deep, but just a few icy points on the path. Not [...] |
